The Erika Wright Band is a sister and brother duo that encapsulates all the sounds of indie rock, power pop, and hard blues vocals. Their style incorporates traditional songwriting with unconventional song structures that will leave your soul aching and head banging. Erika was raised singing gospel music and her understanding for power, intensity, and soul come through in her music. Joined by her brother Daniel with his classical training in piano and heavy metal influence in guitar, their rock is infused with bits of soul, blues, folk and country, but a sound is all their own.

Erika began writing music on the piano at the age of 12, and had her first solo singing performance at age three, in the church Christmas play. With her family's strong roots in music and her early involvement in live performance music, Erika has been fortunate to sing and perform all over the world. After completing her Bachelor of Business at the University of Washington, Erika began songwriting with the guitar and recorded her self-titled demo CD in May 2004. Shortly after the demo was released, Erika was discovered by local production company, Pink on Vinyl, and Seattle producer Tom Pfaffle. With the collaboration of drummer, Mark Scott, and younger brother, Daniel Wright, and former bass player, Grant Perry, the band recorded their debut album "This Puzzle." The eight songs on the album were just a sample of what the band plays in a live show. They have now played in numerous Northwest and Mid-west venues and quicky becoming better known along the whole west coast.

With the cards falling into the right place, the duo has seen a huge fan following in the time that they have been playing the Seattle scene and receives a great response from every venue/event they play. They have been lucky to share the stage with very talented performers like Shannon Curfman, Lennon, Adrianne, Camille Bloom, and many others.
